So this religious guy tried to give the argument that because we can comprehend data as information or something god exists.

1) how?
2) whats the rebuttle to this?

Hmmmm. Could you clarify? Might be the argument that thoughts can't come from material objects, which I think science bears out, but this just shows that the mind is not identical to the brain and that the possibility a person surviving death can be reasonabley thought to be likley; I don't see the connection to God though.
