Just got back from the cinema, and had to share this incredible experience (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agora_%28film%29).

Basically, an Egyptian slave turns to Christianity in the hopes of pursuing freedom while falling in love with his master, a philosopher and atheist, Hypathia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypathia) (yes, a woman)
This all happens during popular revolts of Christians against polytheists and Jews in Alexandria.
The movie is very clever in the sense that is SHOWS how religious fundamentalism is so irrational, and it is a clever analogy of the martyrdom and extremism of the current islamism, when shown how their ideas and tactics are so similar of early christianity.
Go watch it. Do NOT miss out, honestly. Its thought-provoking and intense.
