Alright since the lounge forum is like the Aussie-connection forum, i have decided to post this important thread in here to get all the aussie's attention. As some of you might have seen in the Practice forum, Aleida Guevara, Che's eldest daughter, is coming to Melbourne on July 2nd for public speaking. This is a great opportunity to meet her and hear her speak about Cuba, Che and socialism.
Now i say because we all have this idealistic dream to meet up sometime and i think Melbourne was chosen, then this would be a perfect time to make it and something worthwhile too.
IHP when are you going on overseas?
Bec are you free around that date?
I am not sure of my status as i might be going to Greece.
If we are all free i would like to invite all the non-Melbourne comrades to Melbourne, help them get a place to stay and stuff so we can all head down together and appreciate this great experience. Please reply with your ideas and details. :)

Yes I should be free around that date. Chris and Ian probably wont be able to come down that early though. I think Linden will still be here but I am not sure...

To tell you the truth, when I heard about this before (Che's daughter coming), I thought it would be a cool time to come and meet you guys, but it is way too soon for me and Ian. I think I have like just over $100, but getting enough money to go would be hard.

Could you guys maybe take some photos for us to see of what happens? At the very least, tell Ian and I what happens.

Cheers comrades!

God-fuckin-dammit. I'll be in London at that stage so it's a no-go for me... Soz little droogies.

When are you going to Greece Chris? It was still a bit of a grey area when we last spoke.

The Che-lives contingent is severly reduced :( No Chris, no Lindy and no me! Poor Aleida will have no audience to speak to

Yeah i think i might be going possibly straight after exams. I want to go for as long as i can plus another week so a month altogether, but yeah it's still a grey area and nothing is decided upon.
Freak that is so unfortunate that we can't make it to Aleida's discussion. If you non-Melbournians just pulled your socks up and actually moved her we wouldn't have so much problems meeting each other now would we?!?...selfish bastards! ;)
