This may be one of the most basic questions about Communism and I don't know why I don't know why I don't know the answer to it yet but here goes. It's been on my mind recently; would corporations exist under Communism (or even Socialism) or are they just there as an entity representing privately owned enterprises that can be disbanded (and collectively owned) under a Planned Economy?

Corporations will not exist under communism nor in most/all forms of socialism.
The means of production that were part/belonged to the corporations will be collectively owned, preferably via worker's councils/etc and run according to principles of "Workplace Democracy."
