Subject: Action meeting tomorow (19th) to stop the cuts and layoffs at CTA
Public Workers United will be leading an action meeting to stop the cuts and
layoffs in public transportation (3-5pm, UE Hall, 37 South Ashland). Discussion
will focus on organizing a public rally and march in January. Speakers will also
be trying to begin the discussion: what are our alternatives to the city
administration’s mismanagement of public transit? How can workers and passengers
begin to take a direct role in making decisions?

Carlos J. Acevedo – Maintenance ABA, Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 241
John Beckam – No CTA Cuts Chicago Coalition
