Has anyone ever watched The Island? I think the setting is entirely possible under Capitalism, though maybe in secret.

I've seen it, capitalism would do it if it was clever enough. But I was distracted by Scarlett Johannsen.

I have seen it. It is frightening. Similar things are already happening today.

One of my ex-girlfriends was taken to a special home administrated by a private company in northern Sweden where she was locked in and harassed by the personnel, not even being allowed to have an own bed. The company in question was earning millions a year on taking in people with asperger's and ADD and then simply holding them there.

A mass campaign eventually served to release her from her captivity. I am very happy that she's out.

It was very interesting that "The Island" was her favourite movie, even though she liked it for Ewan McGregor's sake.
