A Christmas strike by British Airways staff has been ruled illegal by the High Court. Is this the right decision?

So now even after balloting the workforce and having 92% of them respond in a positive fashion, strikes are not allowed?

Only Thatcher being buried in an unmarked shallow grave tomorrow would make this defeat feel any better.

We're not here to practise democracy, we're here to pretend to have democracy.

If the High Court is forcing them to work, then it is trying to justify slavery.

There is a pretty good solution to this, don't show up for work, what are they going to do? Throw the union members in prison? The sad thing is that Unite are crap and don't know the meaning of militancy, so yeah, business as usual.

Not exactly suprising that a Judicary staffed by members of Lib/Lab/Con rulled union action illegal. They are all disgustingly anti-union, and the Lords are an even more reactionary bunch, I'd hoped that they would ruled for Unite, but I wasn't suprised. I hope that Unite go forward with it regardless, and indefinatly, but that won't happen either.
