Hey,
I need some help on if i should join an organization, and what one would be for me? The question "if i should join an organization" comes down to a few things 1. i have no idea what country i am going to be in next year, i am in Canada now but might be moving back to England. I am a duel citizen in England and South Africa, and living in Canada. 2. I don't really have a cut and dry ideology, i guess i'm a council communist but no communist organization seems to fit the bill, and i am thinking maybe going to an Anarchist Organization which seem to fit some of my thoughts better. 3. I'm not very social person, ironic huh? I support the left which focuses on solidarity of the people. I guess you could say i suffer from various degrees of paranoia, i can get very retracted from people. I really want to help but i am not sure an organization is the right way for me. I tend to watch society rather than be apart of it, i think that's what lead me to the left, i saw how fucked up it was.

If i were to join an Organization which would you guys here recommend. As i said before i don't know which country i will be in next year, so it makes it a little tricky. Also are there any council communists out there that belong to an organization, also i don't think I've even seen one here.. I know its said that organization of the revolution shouldn't be lead by an organization or party, but to me it seems organizations are more about getting information out and a place for discussion of ideas. That's why i don't want to join an organization that has static parameters, i am willing to compromise on the method of the revolution as long as it works, if you know what i mean. That's why i was thinking about maybe joining an anarchist organization.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

I''m similar, in that I tend to watch society, and that is how I arrived at certain conclusions about it, from a Socialist perspective.

If you are in Britain, I wouldn't bother propping up any of the tiny, poorly run, mostly anachronistic (in the cases of the CPBG, CPBG-ML, RCP, NCP) or otherwise somewhat quasi-Marxist (SWP, SPEW, CPB) parties that exist. I have refused to join any of these 'parties' just to have some sense of belonging. Besides that, I am looking to become better versed in Marxism and in Socialism in general, so that when I do align myself to a tendency and join a party or movement, I will be able to have some sort of impact on the movement. There is no point in just becoming another rank and file in a party that is essentially going nowhere.
