I was recently made aware of this story via someone on youtube. Apparently, this company Trafigura has successfully censored a BBC story via threats of legal action against the news agency.

Wtf!?
The myth about impartial and humane capitalist corporations was dead aeons ago, but this is truly the last nail in the coffin.

Everytime they pick on Africa, it makes me sick. Like the entire continent hasn't had to deal with enough shit over the past 200 years.

Excerpts from http://www.revleft.com/vb/bhopal-have-we-t123901/index.html
http://wikileaks.org/wiki/Minton (http://wikileaks.org/wiki/Minton)
"The UK media has been suppressed from mention the report or its contents since a secret gag order was issued against the Guardian newspaper on September 11, 2009... An attempt by a member of parliament to subvert the gag order, by mentioning "Minton report"... in the House of Commons, lead to a major uproar on October 12 and 13, following an attempt by Trafigura to apply the gag order to parliamentary reporting... The UK press gag remains in effect."

"Warren Anderson, the Union Carbide chief executive at the time of the gas leak, lives in luxurious exile in the Hamptons, even though there’s an international arrest warrant out for him for culpable homicide. The Indian government has yet to pursue an extradition request."

I sent information of this to a number of celebrities, journo's, social commentators to see if they would draw attention to it. So far only Noam Chomsky has gotten back to me which I really appreciate. He has given me the names of a number of journalists to contact who may be willing to cover this story so I've pm'd hugsandmarxism and if anyone else wants to help please pm me, I don't want to leave the journalists details out in the open in case the Trafigura lawyers are reading any of this, paranoid I know but it's better to be safe.
