Hello! I just found this board, and I must say, wow! It's amazing!!!!!
By the way, I'm Dan - a Queer guy in Toronto. ;)
So yes, I am a Canuck. Well, in fact, I was born in England, am half-British half-Armenian, and lived most of my life in Lebanon. I moved to Toronto 2 years ago. :cheesy:
I'm a university student. I'm 20, and am majoring in English Literature (was previously majoring in Computer Science). I'm an anti-war, anti-racism, an anti-capitalism activist.
So anyone from this board in Canada (or more specifically in Toronto)?
I am also part of a movement against police brutality. So if there are any cops who are from Toronto in here (which I highly doubt), please drop me a line, I would love to talk with you and ask you some questions!
Otherwise, if you wanna chat with me anyway, just drop me a line or add me on MSN:
[email protected] :D
Peace,
Dan (the Leftist Spider) :)

Welcome to the forum mate;)
Good to have you with us, hope you enjoy your stay.
I'm Al, and I live in Montreal ;)
I'm also 20, majoring in International Economics, and I've been here for 9 months already.
I'm originally from Lebanon; born there and raised there:)
So what region were you living in Lebanon??
Ahla wa sahla fik!

Beirut - more specifically, Mar Mikhael, and for some time in Rabieh. :) How about you? Which school were you from? ;)

Before I came here, I was living in Kfarhbab, just above Jounieh ;) Most of my childhood was spent between Jbeil and Montreal though.
Man you just reminded me of Achrafieh where I usually spent saturday nights at Monot street and all its pubs, that was fucking awesome shit man! I miss it :(
School... I was studying in a nuns school called Soeurs des Saints Coeurs Kfarhbab till I graduated with a French baccalaureat, what about you?

I'm seriously trying to get a good degree here, mostly in economics and politics, as I plan to return to Lebanon some day and make some sort of reform to the shitty existing system! Yep Lebanon needs a revolution and I want to be part of it anyway I can...

Hehe likewise mate ;)
You'll soon meet Irish lads, English, Americans, Canadians, French, Africans, Koreans, Argentinians, Venezuelans, Russians and many many more people coming from all around the globe. I am definitely honored to be part of this community.. It's universal and it kicks ass!
yalla ciao;)

I used to attend Armenian Evengelical Central High School in Achrafieh - until 9th grade. Then I changed school, and started attending Tarouhy-Hovagimian Secondary School (Armenian school too) in Sin El Fil. I got my Lebanese Baccalaureate in 2001. ;)

Well, I'm not too sure if I want to go back to Lebanon permanently. It's all cos I'm Queer - not too much acceptance there... But, I would love to be a visiting revolutionary. Maybe living there for a period of a coupla months and switching back to Toronto. :)
I love Lebanon - but I hate its politics. Everyone's after their own agendas and fulfilling their own hunger and filling their own pockets... And yes, I want to see the system changed! Maybe I can join you? I will be done with university in 2 years. And adding 3 more years to that for my citizenship (nshalla!) I will be a Canadian citizen, and then I can do whatever I want to! LOL. Am I looking too far into the future at this point? ;)

Yep, people from all walks of life. All races, nationalities, sexualities, etc. It's the coolest thing ever! To be brothers and sisters, yet so far away! Brothers and sisters in revolution!!!!!
Long live revolution!!!!!!
Take care! Talk to ya later!
Peace,
