Anyone whose seen The Wind That Shakes the Barley, and I'd hope you all have, its on youtube free anyway, should recognise this. Quality for a marching tune with call and response.

Its a branch of Celtic language, the Q-Branch.
Similar to Manx and Scottish, but it makes sense that it is so closely related since Scotland was settled by an Irish tribe called the Scoti.

here is something i found with a translation - apologies to Irish speakers if the translation is not too good..
