The constituent congress of the Continental Bolivarian Movement -with a stake of more than 30 countries through its student delegations, workers, peasants, indigenous leaders, community and social movements of genres participants and supporters- gathered this December 7,8,9 in Caracas, to inaugurate the conference establishing this movement, which in turn aims to conform an antiimperialist international front.

The mixture of camaraderie was the central tone of this great event, where international delegates met in the city of Caracas through this space, a new form of unity based on the Bolivarian thought and socialism. Father Luis Barrios sent greetings on behalf of the "Communist Party of God"

The foundational purpose of this meeting is to seek the authentic unity of the people across America, including the participation of other peoples from different continents to counter the imperialist onslaught against the sovereignty of peoples, raising the imperative of overthrowing the "dying" capitalism.

It's dying? I can't really see it's dying in a first world country. They even say we are better than ever.

He means that it's decaying. Personally, I believe capitalism has lost all its progressiveness since the beginning of the 20th century. The world wars were desperate attempts to find and legitimize new markets, for example. But other members could explain much better than me.

Cool !! I am also waiting for the Fifth International Socialist Congress. I think that it is necessary for socialism of the XXI Century to become a mainstream ideology, to reach the masses all over the world. Because there are many weird ideologys out there competing with socialism of the XXI Century, like conspiracy-theory movements, christian-democracy, and social-democracy, which are still strong and are very marketable to the middle classes.

Good old problem. I just don't understand that why the organizers of these kind of movements want to limit themselves to Spanish and Portuguese speaking people only.
