Jesus the guy was acheived alot due to this illness. I read in the biography that he was sometimes carried home by his mates because he tryed to play and be normal like them. It also affected the way his family was as well thjey had to move to a clearer atmosphere and evrrything.

Anyway do any of you suffer from asthma? Do you suffer as much as he did?

Never had it myself but know how debilitating it is for sufferers.A wonderful girlfriend of mine had chronic asthma and although she led a normal active life, when she had an attack it was intensive care time.Sadly she had her final attack, aged 25.

I have it. Perhaps it is moving into the realm of "had" it. Through running and doing cardo-vascular activities I have strengthened my lungs to the point that they are fairly close to equal with most other people, and surpassing some others.

So sorry to hear that Son of scargil.

BTW, i was thinking in my shower yesterday, surely smoking his big fat cigars didn't help!
When ever i smoke it kills me straight for like a week. So painful.

Thanks james.Forgot to say I'm happy you don't have it too bad.
Smoking his cigars almost certainly didn't help, but it doesn't surprise me that he led his life the way he did even with asthma.Sara wouldn't stop smoking either, basically she did her best to ignore the problem and lead the life she wanted,Che probably felt the same.

That's kinda sad about your girlfriend, 255's quite young.

One of the girls in my dorm has pretty bad asthma, but she's glad she has it because she says it made a lot of different to her personality, she's more determined now than she would be without it.

I have astma. Not as bad as Che, actually quite little. I don't bothers me today as it did when I was younger. It limits me to not get as much exercise as I want to get. Which means that I'm permanently in a bad shape.

che was actually deemed unable for military service when he applied for the draft in Argentina due to his asthma. Ironic, how he become one of the greatest militaristic fighters the world has seen.

There's a story about his doctor telling him to cut the cigars. Che bargained with him and they agreed that he could have one a day. So he smoked a foot long cigar for a short time after that, still following doctor's orders. ;)

I have asthma and I would have never guessed that Che had it! I don't think I would want to smoke, even without my condition :/ thanks for the info, Beano
