Female Subtitles - Request them here...

I've been currently adding an "a" instead of an "o" or "e" at the end of subtitles for our female comrades..

(ex: Guerrillero = Guerrillera/ Commandante = Commandanta)

If you are a female and I haven't changed your subtitle yet, request for a change in this thread.

Unfortunately, posters are often assumed to be male. It's also important to show that there are females involved in the anti-Capitalist and anti-fascist movement.

Unfortunately, posters are often assumed to be male. ( On all boards and IRC rooms, unless you go with a nic name of Punkgrrrrl or something else as blatantly obvious) very frustrating.

Might want to update the F.A.Q, a lot of English speaking people don't know that the letter 'A' at the end of a word often denotes a feminin noun.

When I read the subject of this post I thought you would subtitle with the real meanings of various things said in relationships. I was very dissapointed when I saw that it was about the subtitle under our avatars. If you could give some subtitles for the female dialogue in the context of a relationship I would find that infinately more helpful than changing the subtitle under my avatar since I am not a female.

All I do is change the "O" to an "A" .... I didn't change the spelling of the title that was set up by Malte as "Commandante" to begin with.

However, I do not think it is wrong because I have seen it with one and two "M"s.

It's ok Red, no problem. I was letting you know that in Spanish if you spell it with two Ms it's wrong. But never mind. Maybe in Italian, French or another language it spells like in English (Commander) with two Ms.

maybe :wub: didn't work for you because you didn't have a space between your last word and the tag for the smiley....... There's a thread in the techie forum about titles, they'll have to be changed by hand, it may take a while, no rush you know :)

I had wondered the reasoning on not changing the endings. Will be very happy to be feminized&#33; I hate feeling like a feminist crashing the party, but sometimes my feminine nature causes me to think differently on issues.
