thanks i'll need the luck tomorrow in Greek. Far out doing Arts at Monash and transferring to do something else has really sapped all motivation and inspiration from me. I know it is dangerous to fall back on that but...oh well, what can you do? lol ;)

I don't think I've done too bad at my Ancient Civ exam, probably B's or something. Pretty good considering I only studied that morning! By the way everyone, are any of you part of an organisation (Socialist Alliance, Socialist Alternative, CPA, etc) ? If so, I might one (or more) of you in Melbourne or Sydney when I go there in the holidays.
Did someone say they are going to Monash (at 17?!) ? How did you get in at that age? Are you really smart, or just skipped a grade?

I go to Monash. I just turned 19 three weeks ago.

I'm in Resistance (a socialist youth group), so you would call me Socialist Alliance/DSP alligned. It is my belief that, although well positioned in some respects, they are ultra-leftist and sectarian. CPA is just state-cappie with authoritarian remnants
apathy maybe

hey, I'm 18 from sydney. Did some of you just finish VCE 'cause I just did HSC, and man did that suck.
Anyway, anyone else here from sydney or are you all Melbournites? A great city, not like you don't know that already but I love Melbourne.
Is Resistance good in Sydney? Anyone a member?

What do you think of Melbourne IHP? How's arts at Monash? I want to do arts next year, arts/law, in Canberra, a complete hole I know, but there must be something there, I'll find it eventually.

Melbourne ay? Well it does the job I suppose. Ya eat ya sleep ya go to work/uni. The night life isn't too bad I suppose. Arts(politics) is very interesting.
You're right. Canberra is a hole. I went there coz I had to go the British embassy. It was so boring that I went to a pub and had a beer at 11am. Thats pretty sad.

beer at 11am hey, it's not that bad, it's never too early to drink, time is just a mental construct anyway...
yeah, Canberra will probably be pretty shithouse, but I want to do international law and heaps of languages and all the embassies are there so maybe that will be an advantage of it. Who knows.

I'm from Sydney Santa Clara...
IHP- The comment I made about bogans was made when I thought you lived in QLD, thus absolving me of any guilt seeing as how Hanson came from there :)
But Melbourne has Eddie, how can you be a bogan city?!
Canikickit- there are wide expanses that you can grow cannabis in if you want and there is no rain, juxtapose that with ireland! How come you guys haven't evolved and grown like flippers or some shit?

Don't Tasmanians have the urge once a year to come out of their holes and mate with their cousins?
I don't know really. I'm pretty much out of the loop in Far North Queensland.

Gimme some news on resistance.
I sent an email to em around the Oct 26th protests and they replied with a solidairty message but havent heard from them in ages.
People are so young, I wish I was clued up when I was that young (im 18). I wish I knew what I knew now even just last year in high school, fuck with the teachers heads and put propaganda up in the senior common room and shit like that...
missed my chance but i went back with a can of gold spray paint and a hammer and sickle stencil, still there after 6 months, caretakers must like em...

You are quite young, I mean, just look at the 60 year old stalinists and trots who are still at each others throats.
Resistance's average age would be about 18 so you are pretty young.
