The youth communist league thread prompted me to ask this question, what do people here think of the world federation of democratic youth?

Well, what is there to say that people don't already know? It's the federation of all the communist, progressive and anti-imperialist youth organisations in the world. The World Festival of Youth and Students (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Festival_of_Youth_and_Students) is supposed to be a fantastic event, and I'd definitely like to witness it sometime.

Basically, you'll probably get the following replies to this thread:

1) My answer.
2) Some guy (not necessarily an anti-Stalinist, but perhaps a maoist or hoxhaist...) who sees the name of some "bad" organization as part of WFDY, who therefore concludes that the WFDY and all its affiliated organizations must be degenerate reactionaries.
3) Some other guy who doesn't really know, but will have an opinion anyway.
