Who else is from latin america?

Panamarisen

Hi, there!

I grew up in Panama, and I had to be for years outside the country to really learn how colonized we were by the U.S. way of life and thinking, not knowing a damn thing about our own culture and necessities...
I´ve not been in Panama for years now, for a number of personal reasons, but I´m trying to do my best to concenciate and help needed people, specially natives from all over the world... And I know it´s never enough, and that we should be a lot of people to try to change this society.

shoving feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken, but i guess you are, because we are all brothers (or sisters) adn your spanish speaking is one step towards understanding a new culture, and when you kjnow about one you become part of one. so yes you are.

Whenever I go to South America (every August), I usually stay in Uruguay for most of the time at my grandpas farm, but we go from Montevideo to Buenos Aires via ship (my mom has family and relatives in BA) for a week. My family moved to the U.S. when I was a todler. Hopefully, I will be going to Argentina in January (I haven't been there for over 10 years). I remember dollars were compatible when the Austral was the currency but Im not sure now.

Red Comrade

Well, last year they were using "Pesos" a new currency. The Austral is outdated. You can still use dollars, it's actually disgusting how some of the stores accept US Dollars over the national currency!
