Is it true, that every downfall in the present economics, the slopes are just gonna get bigger and bigger each time? And how do you explain this?

Where did you hear this idea?

I've heard it from many different sources. There was a marxist comic that said every slope gets bigger, and there was a buch of people riding a roller coaster.

My Keynesian high-school (lukio, Mälli will know...) teacher put it differently. He demonstrated how the economic "down-sides" have never completely recovered from the previous one when a new recession hits. Meaning that whereas stocks might get up, unemployment and inequality have been plummeting since the 50's.

This is ofocurse just a high-school teacher, but I just read an article from a finnish economics professor confirming this hypothesis. As it happens, I did not catch his name. If it bumps up again I'll let you folks know.
