First off, welcome to the board.
I think there are a lot of people here who like to keep an eye on, as well as discuss what is going on in Latin America. I personally am not too familiar with what is going on in many places right now, but I'm always up for learning :)

Although I live in glasgow, I have always been interested in latin America. My first adult freind was a Chilean refugee from Pinochet.
One of the first books I read was C wrights ''Listen yankee'' about the cuban revolution. Another was written by a Brazilian priest''Freedom to Starve''One of the first songs I learned in Spanish was ''Guantanmera'' (the other songs were Spanish civil war)
I am presently on the email list of the yahoo argentina discussian forum.
This is only a small part of my interest in ''America's backyard''.
