Don't u just hate people who go around sayin' "Che Rox" and "Che is da man" when in truth they know nothing about him. I see people going around wearing Che Guevara shirts and when i come up to them and say "awesome Che Guevara 'Hasta la victoria siempre'" they look at me like i'm speaking another language and say "wat da hell are u talkin' about." That just makes me so damn angry. So, please people who know nothing about Che, don't wear Che Guevara shirts and say dat he "rox" untill u actually know who he wuz and wat he did.

I am also bugged by people who use Che's image for popularity, although over here you have to be really, and i mean really, stupid to do such a thing since Che is seen by the general public as insane or plain stupid.

This only proves that they lack the information we had the access to, and maybe when they get their hands on some book they would realize what the hell this long haired guy was all about.

I myself was not born knowing all there is to know about Che or communism, or Lenin, or liberty, we all were at ground zero but we grew and thats what the other must do also, I saw Guevara as a threat when i was a child since i was thaught he was, but then i got interested on him and idolized him and when people asked me about him i would just answer he fought for the freedom of the cuban people. Although i was not far from the truth i lacked a background to stand on.

Im happy now that i learned a lot more and happier to know i have lots to learn yet...

Subcommander, I am just curious as to why Che posed a threat to you at one time?

Myself, at a very young age, I had a sense about Castro, I have always liked him. It was like I knew something about him yet it was only these last couple of years I have learned more (not much only because one question has me looking at yet another, then another...oh, the maddness) and have only traveled in my mind while walking cirlces.

Anyway, I really love the story about Che and knowing about him has really changed the way I see life and if it wasn't for Rage Against the Machine I would not have known about Che, so I guess I'm stuck. :sad: because this all brought me to an even better understanding of what the Big J.C. aka, Jesus Cristo, is all about. Now, I am committed to a life of endless searching.
