I don't cry for the American people.

When I was younger I used to think that on a whole, America was a really dumb country. But once I got older and actually met people, I changed my opinion of them. The culture industry (especially the newsmedia), in its pseudorealism, gives off the impression that America's a country full of fucking idiots, but on a whole, I've found Americans to be very reasonable people.

Keep in mind that these opinions were mostly formed living in the rural midwest, usually considered, by both coasts, to be the dimmest part of the country. And above all that, I'm an aloof, antisocial, cynical asshole most of the time. Go figure!
