From Golden Che last year (and no, I didn't cheat god dammit!) to nothing this year, well, that's what you get if you fall absent I suppose. Thanks for making the awards Fuserg9, much better than I did last year imo.

I'd also like to from my heart thank the person who nominated me for most helpful user.

and Favorite noob (Twice!!)

Sorry about that, but that was actually not my mistake , i cant remember everyones around nicks and worse past nicks, i always said that those name changes are fucking confusing, and here is the proof:)

I call the awards a success, i made a couple of mistakes, but its not as easy as some think, i spent hours before the elections started to prepare those things and make a small recheck, but always something will "escape".

Another thing you didn't notice soz... in "Most amusing instance of the year" you doubled the Obama being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Obama receives Peace prize and he continues the brutal wars

And

Obama winning the Nobel Peace prize

The first one is basically the same thing except a sarcastic jab added at the end

F9
28th November 2009, 09:15
I did notice that actually :) The same thing happened with International Crisis where Iran was split to elections and riots, but when it came to announce the results they both had lower votes than financial crisis, but combined more, so Iran "won".;) I added those 2 to one, i just let the nominations as they were.

No problem. Having my name tossed into the hat twice only serves to feed the black hole that is my ego. Btw, are the results any different? I was a runner up for favorite noob, don't know if the votes for Captain Jack would push me into first place but.... ah I am done trying to be humble... Am I #1 like I should have been all along? :D;)

I just found out about this. I got nominated for "most annoying." Awesome. I wish I knew who nominated me so I could annoy them though. When I'm generally annoying, I can't be sure it's working. But if I know I am annoying someone, then the fun begins.

Funny story, revleft's favorite artist of the year was a fascist/fascist sympathizer.

he has been an anarchist, communist and an monarchist as well.

Salvador Dalí's politics played a significant role in his emergence as an artist. In his youth, he embraced both anarchism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarchism) and communism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communism), though his writings account anecdotes of making radical political statements more to shock listeners than from any deep conviction. This was in keeping with Dalí's allegiance to the Dada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dada) movement.
As he grew older his political allegiances changed, especially as the Surrealist movement went through transformations under the leadership of Trotskyist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trotsky) André Breton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Breton), who is said to have called Dalí in for questioning on his politics. In his 1970 book Dalí by Dalí, Dalí was declaring himself an anarchist and monarchist.
With the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_Civil_War), Dalí fled from fighting and refused to align himself with any group. Likewise, after World War II (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II), George Orwell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Orwell) criticized Dalí for "scuttling off like a rat as soon as France is in danger" after Dalí prospered there for years: "When the European War approaches he has one preoccupation only: how to find a place which has good cookery and from which he can make a quick bolt if danger comes too near."
After his return to Catalonia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalonia) after World War II, Dalí became closer to the authoritarian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authoritarian) Franco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_Franco) regime. Some of Dalí's statements supported the Franco regime, congratulating Franco for his actions aimed "at clearing Spain of destructive forces."[33] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Dal%C3%AD#cite_note-navarro-32) Dalí sent telegrams to Franco, praising him for signing death warrants for prisoners.[33] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Dal%C3%AD#cite_note-navarro-32) He even met Franco personally[68] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Dal%C3%AD#cite_note-67) and painted a portrait of Franco's granddaughter.
It is uncertain whether Dalí's tributes to Franco were sincere or whimsical[citation needed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)]; he also once sent a telegram praising the Conducător, Romanian Communist leader Nicolae Ceauşescu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolae_Ceau%C5%9Fescu), for his adoption of a scepter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scepter) as part of his regalia. The Romanian daily newspaper Scînteia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sc%C3%AEnteia) published it, without suspecting its mocking aspect. One of Dalí's few possible bits of open disobedience was his continued praise of Federico García Lorca (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federico_Garc%C3%ADa_Lorca) even in the years when Lorca's works were banned.[not in citation given (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability)][16] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Dal%C3%AD#cite_note-conversations-15)

i think he was being an surealist, not only in art but in live as well...

its an banned user that has way to much time on her (his?) hands and constently makes new sock puppets.
we are not allowed to speculate on their mental health but fact is that they are so good that its bizar in making new identities and win peoples trust. she made it an couple times back in the CC and then makes blogs with private information about members and about the evil admin/mod conspiracy that that proofs.
and then if she is caught again, she is banned and she trows an hissyfit, spams for a while and disapear again for a bit only to show later.
