I was wondering if members from the various communist parties in the UK got together to organize revolutionary programmes in the poorest communities, and slowly build up communities until they are practically independent from the state ie.
Year round free meal programme
Drug and crime rehabilitation centres.
Community non profit-non intrest bank.
Community education centres and libraries(that actually have socialist literature in them)
Yearly homeless shelter.
creation of worker owned and ran stores and buisnesses
Protecting minorities from attack like they came under in bradford

Would you think it would be a good idea, would you participate, would you say it was a terrible idea, i for one think communities are ready for someone to teach them about class consiousness and capitalism, and with the recesion, we cannot afford to miss this opportunity, i would like to know what you comrades think.

We should start with the tooting liberation front. http://www.televisionheaven.co.uk/citizen.jpg

Nah but seriously, mutual aid isn't practised like that so much because of resources, we just don't have them and plus, starting stuff like that is extremely hard with the amount of repression we'd receive, the amount we do receive already is massive.

Plus, most communist parties are more interested in marching at demonstrations than doing any of that.

wolfie smith, my maa said she ordered citizen smith for christmass lol, the best fiver she ever spent, also if we are repressed it legitemises militancy and will make the community support us more, just my opinion though man

Without getting into the specifics of each point they generally seem fair enough and I like the overall idea. In any case it is a million times better than by assuming revolution will come from standing at the edge of society and poking it with slogan upon slogan until it finally cracks. I also think you are right that people will be more supportive of militant/insurrectionist tactics if community engagement has preceded them.
