View Full Version : Leaving... - But not because of something having to do with

Yup, I'm leaving. Like I said, it's not because I don't agree with the other comrades here or have something against Malte or something else like that. It's because I'm terribly paranoid. I'm sure most of you are aware of the Patriot Act passed shortly after 9/11/01. The fact that we are all posting here (a website which pretty much anyone can look at) puts us all in an awkward position. That didn't really bother me, but on CNN they spoke about a new program that makes security even more ridiculous. The name of the program is T.I.P.S. (I don't remember what the acronym stands for) and for those of you who haven't heard of it, the program hires civilians to spy on eachother. That freaks me out, and whether or not I actually am in a bad position I'd rather not even take the chance. I'm not ever denouncing my marxist opinions, but for now I'm not going to flaunt it either.

I'm sorry to hear that. its much safer here in canada than in the USA. our government isnt as extreme as yours but is still pretty corrupt.

That is more evidence that the US is hypocritical!! We criticize soviet laws rewarding people who rat on each other, yet we are now doing the same exact theing. And then we talk about freedom of speech!!!

Canada is cooler about this. If anyone comes after me I'm learning how to ice fish and build an igloo :). You should stay, I'm so paranoid that I can't leave my house without looking up and down the street to see if anyone's there. Once I swear this car was following me, I saw it the same time every morning on my way to school, I figured that he probably had a schedule to follow, but then I'd leave at different times and he'd just circle the block a couple of times. I freak myself out.

I believe there really are reasons for us to get paranoid nowadays. I heard that when you're walking in Helsinki (the capital of Finland, inwich I live, how sad is that?) and if you walk for an hour, over hundred cameras will film you. Those hidden things, you know.
And here is so, or will be, not yet, that if there is a murder, then police has right to listen to every phone call on that area from a tape, if the murderer would have given a call before he/she blew someone's brain out.
There were other stuff, too. There is a murderer on the loose in this town, where I live, wich is quite spooky. There are polices everywhere.
But, I'm trying not to be paranoid. I really don't have anything to be paranoid about, exept for that murdererguy, but that's not the thing you're talking about in here.
In fact, I said almost nothing about what you were talking about in here.
I'm so very tired...
