If a news station (TV) runs a 'consumer report' on another corporation's product with that corporation's logo and everything visible- does the news network need permission?
If the news station did a segment on how great tasting burger king's new burger was and did a street feeding poll of passer bys- would they need permission?
How can you find out who has requested permissions or who has paid or been paid by who.
I want to know who's sleeping together.
Thanks guys.

What if the people on the street didn't like the coffee and gave 'extreme' reactions to it?

if its an actual consumer report and the reactions were not staged, that would fall under fair use. if it were some sort of hack job, i would imagine they would still try to make it look accurate so as to fall under fair use. i get the feeling you're thinking of some specific example here, so it might be useful to provide that?

If this is what passes for news then someone, somewhere should be shot over it. Perhaps burn down the studio.
In seriousness I'm fairly sure that bcbm is on the right track from what I understand of copyright law anyway.
