My view may be simplistic but...

How can superpowers that have WMD's of many descriptions including nukes dictate to anyone that they cannot have them?

I would sleep a lot more comfortably if all countries became nuke free but that simply isn't going to happen.:glare:

Coming from another angle, the western powers would never be satisfied with Iran. They need some excuse to wage war.

Iran is a fundamentalistic regime based on Islam. the purpose with WMD is to prove that Iran is the strongest country in the Middle East. The islamistic regime of iran is resposible for many executions of there own population, beacuse they are "non-belivers" or against the goverment wich include the communist peoples.
Of course, why does the western powers determine who can or who cannot have them?, but Why even consider a deal with iran, when the goverment doesn't stand for Human rights or Freedom of speech?.

I would agree with you. So how are the problems of Iran solved? Should we try to encourage a revolution?

Its almost like they're asking for an invasion (note to overly touchy people on Revleft who take every word literally and exaggeratedly: I do not support an invasion of Iran). Why did they turn it down this time? They are perfectly entitled to have nuclear power for civilian purposes under the non proliferation treaty. They claim that they aren't developing nuclear weapons. Why then do they keep rejecting offers to solve this problem once and for all?

I dont think nobody realy knows what iran want these weapons for. Mabey to prove that they can say and do anything of there purposes without any other countrys to disturb or mabey some other purpose. I dont think the people of iran is supporting the Islamic regime and there plans about nuclear power. the people need support to organize a new revolution, a wokers revolution . today wokers of iran dosnt have any kind of labour laws and they dont got the rights to be part of a trade union. I think the people of iran is ready for a new regime but dosnt know what to choose. therefore we sould support the communism partys of iran so they can better inform the people.
70% of the people is youth, this is the group that need to be informed. The youth is the future.
