I am into Byzantine History, and as such i get alot of information on the Sassanid Persians, who i find most interesting, however, the Parthian Empire's military tactics are probably the most interesting tactics i have ever read about. After the conquest of the Saracens, i sort of lost interest in Persian history as the Persians basically became absorbed into the Islamic empire.

did you know the word "partisan" has come from "parthian" becouse of their military tactics?!
and please dont call muslems saracen.iranians believe muslems have liberated them from sassanid oppression(although they themselves oppressed us alot but who oppressed us werent real muslem they only misused from this name)

Sorry, i used it because that is that is the term used by the Byzantines and the Sassanids because there was an actual tribe which was called "saracen." It was only during the Crusades that the term came to mean all muslems.

the term "Parthian shot" (obviously) aslo came from their military tactics.

And about the "saracens"- during the Sassanid Persian times, the tribe was known as Saracen and they were pagan.

It is much like the muslems using the term "franks" for all western Europeans and the crusaders.

I don't really have a religion and I'm not sure about my politics, but I'm interested in communism.
