Sorry if this is old news, but have people here heard of this guy? Not very political (aside from the general working-class posturing characteristic of underground hip-hop), although he calls himself the "East Oakland Dictator" sometimes, the Eastern side being the less white and more proletarian sector of that city.

The synthetic Bay Area hip-hop sound isn't for everyone, but addicts to WWII Soviet music might appreciate his heavy application of orchestra and trumpets. Personally it took me 4 years before I could even tolerate this shit.

The lyrics are often reactionary but keep in mind that this is "the" music of working-class youth in the geographical area that gave birth to the Black Panther Party, which is today being terrorized by racist police and decently-armed criminal gangs, and whose more politicized denizens have long since abandoned Marxism in favor of Islam :(

(The following are the final portions of YouTube URL's. I can't post links or images because I have less than 25 posts, sorry, the forum even recognizes and prohibits plain addresses. Just paste these into the end of a regular YouTube URL.)

There is also an incredibly reactionary song by him that is on "Imeem" but not YouTube; worth checking out if you find the rest of this entertaining; the URL was too long and therefore impossible to post in any form; google "J Stalin Ipod"

So why does he call himself J. Stalin? His music is typical regurgitated crap posing as hip hop, or at least that's what it sounds like to me. It seems every video has some kind of expensive car with totally unnecessarily large rims. Why am I not surprised. What I am surprised about is the name he uses yet his music is crap and has nothing to do with politics.

edit: nvm wiki answered the question

"he was short like me, but he was always smashin' on everybody."

An art perfected by GG Allin.
