I read this agreement-thing. I hope I am welcome here.
I try not to be political. I do not want to say: I am this or I am that. I do not like categories. I vote about the topic, not the party. I am me, not the member of a party or a suporter of a certain ideology, I am me.
You will learn what my standards are. You seem to be quite leftist, I am not sure, wheather I can catch up with that. I would say I stand on the left, but I am surely not a Communist. I agree with certain aspect of Capitalism, but it is most of the time abused. Do not be afraid, I am for sure no Capitalist. I am me, an original.
However, there is something I am for sure: I am a convinced Christian. Jesus is my life. That will strongly reflect in my thinking. Please respect that!

I respect religion and I respect you (Nate) for respecting religion. Tolerance is the key. Regardless of how much one disagrees with someone else's ideas. One of the fundamental (no pun intended :) ) elements of socialism and communism is tolerance and the desire to see equality.

Welcome! I think this board will be a way to learn about the further left, and the further right. I respect you for being you. And the historical Jesus was a respectable man, he defended the poor and even the prostitutes in his day. Will you do the same?

I know TOO much about Christianity. I am not a Christian, but I respect those who use his message as a banner of peace and understanding, for that was his message. The Church has twisted that...terribly...
