So instead of studying out of a conventional textbook for our US History class,my highly liberal teacher decided that our new textbook will be Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States.
What does Revleft think of this book?
Any bias I should look out for?
Anyone read this book?:)

I've read Zinn's book. The sub-text is an examination of US history from a left-liberal perspective where labor, indigenous people and the dispossessed get a voice. It's certainly an improvement on the US history I studied in high school 40 years ago.

I great book all around. It should be the standard history book in highschools instead of what ever crap they use.
War isn't just about battles and generals, but about the consequences to real people.
Industrialization isn't just about capitalists but about workers.
Colonization isn't just about pilgrim but about indigenous people.
Not only are most of these topics completely left out of history text but if they are mentioned they are completely inaccurate.
Zinn is right.
