Hello there, it's really great to see an active community like this online,I'm currently a high school student in my junior year. I'm taking a college level History and English class called Rebels,Resistance and Revolution (RRR).
We cover the worker struggles and the undocumented side of the United Stated history.It's a great class, and the school department is trying very hard to get rid of the class.xD
Anyways,I'd like to get more involved in my community,etc,etc.:)"

Well,in RRR we have two very liberal teachers, and we don't use a standard US History textbook to study, we read out of A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.
It's a college level class, the classes mostly are lectures, we do alot of writing assignments because they wants us to be intelligent writers so "our voices could be heard"
We're also encouraged to be involved in our community and attend protests,lectures,etc.
For example,in our last project my group and I had to go to the local mall and observe how capitalism and conspicuous consumption affects US society.
And we frequently have class discussions in class about issues like that.
Sorry that's all I could think of off the top of my head and it's all jumbled up,lawl.I'm about to fall asleep,=P

I don't think the admins are soooo bad.
The only encounter I've really had with one they were very reasonable.
