Canada !! Wow so beautiful I've been there... Toronto and Niagara Falls... Anyway.... no I'm not a Yankee actually !! I'm Maltese and we joined the EU last week which makes me terribly sad... Damn imperialism !! I think she would speak to you Felicia... you're a hard-core Guevaraist !! And I don't think she's got a thing with Yankees and Canucks anyway.... You can't just generalise you know !! Everyone's different !!

Yeah, but I think that it was mentioned in his boigraphy. That Aleida didn't like to talk to americans about Che (she could be anti-american aswell) but as far as I know, she had nothing against canadians (we weren't the imperialists that went after her husband ;)). But she agreed to talk to Anderson, although I don't know where he's from, but he's living in spain at the moment. But yes, everyone is different.........but canadians are just generally better and nicer than americans  and everyone loves us ;)
Sorry that you've become apart of the EU :(

Oh, I don't know about that. he could of had a little ear piece with a traslator guy telling him what the journalist was saying. But given the years that he lived, I doubt that they had that technology in such a small form. But you never know, he probably did know english quite well :)

But anyway, Aleida still lives in Cuba, in the same house she lived with Che. She got married again many years ago and she has appointed her oldest daughter Aleidita, to be the spokeswoman of the family regarding Che's matters. Anderson was maybe the first writer Aleida ever received at her house and showed him Che's desk and gave Anderson access to some never-published-before writings of Che, particularly some concerning the guerrilla in Congo. She's now devoted to her grandchildren.
