Why did this guy sell out so bad, he even released his own cookbook called cooking with Bobby.
What a shame.

I heard he sold out, i do not see why he did it, maybe he got sick of helping out the oppressed, he wanted some of that cool refreshing Sorbet:)

Troll? if not this is definitely chit chat material as this has nothing really to do with learning about left theory.

Well, I don't think it was just Mr. Seale... the real problem was that the black power and liberation movements hit a wall at a certain point.

For some people Black power meant joining the Democratic party and wining some local elections, getting a black mayor elected and so on. For the Black Panther Party and other socialists and radicals, Black Power meant revolution and popular control over black communities.

The ruling class seized on this division in the movement and gave concessions with one hand through the Democratic party supporting black businesspeople and black politicians. With the other hand, the US smashed the panthers and other radicals - often using elected black mayors to do the crack-downs.

So many radicals, once the revolution they were predicting was "around the corner" didn't materialize and the anti-war and liberation movements were crushed or fell apart, many radicals "sold-out".

It seems that no technology has been created that allows one to punch people through the internet, so the previous post was even more pointless than this one.

I fail to see how publishing a cookbook makes you a sell-out. By conforming to the bourgoisie concept of 'good food'?

I gotta get my hands on that cookbook, it will go well on my bookshelf between Seize The Time and The Huey P Newton Reader.

Ben and Jerry's 'Chunky Monkey' is the best ice cream that I have ever eaten in my life. What is wrong with the Guy having a reasonable job. I'd do it if it came with free ice cream.
