Democratic Soldier

Hey, I've decided to join these forums because I want to discuss and share ideas with other like minded, intelligent people. Where am I on the political/economic spectrum? I'm somewhere bordering Socialist and the radical wing of the Democratic party. I believe strongly that social issues are the absolute number one issue that must be addressed. I believe that education is a stronger weapon than bombs.
I've had a long history with international travel, and I have four continents under my belt. While traveling, I've managed to meet other leftists and socialists, often quite by accident. I was in Venezuela with my uncle during a socialist rally, and it was amazing to see a country come together with the common goal of social equality for all. I was in France on vacation, and I just so happened to be at a cafe that was a popular meeting spot for socialists, and I got to listen to some socialist poetry. I was in Cameroon as part of an exchange program, and found friends in the Social Democratic Front located there as the main opposition to a corrupt president.
I've been all around the world, and I've discovered that the main thing that bonded us together was our belief in social equality, our belief in a better world for all.
Thanks for listening, it's going to be a great stay.
