Dresden - The synagogue in the eastern German city of Dresden has been daubed with swastikas, ahead of the anniversary of Germany's 1938 pogrom night, police said on Sunday.


Roughly six metres of the synagogue's outside wall had been covered in the Nazi symbol, despite regular round-the-clock police surveillance.
Heinz-Joachim Aris of the Association of Jewish Communities in Saxony expressed shock at the deed.
An investigation has been launched.
November 9, 1938 is remembered as the 'Night of Broken Glass,' when Jewish shops, houses and synagogues were destroyed, accelerating the systematic persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany.

the far-right in germany has been a bit more active in rallys and such..and music to suck in the boneheads. It IS still illegal to be a member of the nazi party in germany so im sure that they will continue to have some difficultys getting too tremendously mainstream..i think that is why to some extent that they attract so many of the outsider types...hatred and anger are a drug essentially and can cause serious blockage of ones true reason to think. hitler was initiated into german politics as an agent of the german government initially....The nationalist socialist party had not really started..but they were already screening people for jewish blood for entrance into the order of thule which was the predecessor to the NS party. He was sent as an agent to see what was going on with the rise of the far-right in germany.

The gravestone was in a jewish cemetary because the gravestone was jewish..if it was'nt a jewish gravestone it woul'dnt belong there. The story goes that the gravestone had a star of david on it as was common at the time. It was only a half aunt..i'm not exactly sure how close it was but it was close enough for the agency to pull the stone out. A grim deed for sure. But this is the common birth of the myth. Either way i did not mean to imply that hatred was a worthy notion. I just found the irony of the thing to be rather delicious.

You can only be buried in consecrated jewish cemetary if you belong to a member of a synagogue. I highly doubt Hitler, even if he were born Jewish, would have been a member of an established Jewish church.
