I saw this Charlie Rose interview through jammoe:
http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-361778836763743005&ei=Ojj2Ss30MYzOrALdofGvCQ&q=bill%20o%27reilly&hl=en-GB&view=2&dur=3#
I'm nervous because I generally agree with his views on the "power elite," what politicians should be doing, and privileges of the wealthy (implies cultural/social capital).
I'm wondering if FOX scripts his show/tells him to be more ridiculous on his show...

Fun with Republicans is that they portray themselves as the defenders of the US white working class. I wonder how they could get through with it.

Probably because of the white part.

It'd be one thing if he were just talking about "the government", that's pretty standard, but he's talking quite explicitly about class. Now it's easy to say, well, he's buttressing that same class system by the politics he advocates and so he's hypocritical, and that's of course true. But I think part of him is quite sincerely criticizing class in American society in a way I'm not sure I've seen any other mainstream US figure do so (and let's not get our underwear in a knot about that, he is mainstream). Moreover, whatever his own feelings are, they're kind of irrelevant, if the only people white working class Americans can find talking about class and class privilege are on Fox News, that says a lot we need to think seriously about.

It is true, whereas Bill might be in for class collaboration as in many nationalist superpowers the rulers have advocated, the sheer usage of the word "class" might unintentionally rise class consiousness.

Of course FOX tells him to be more outrageous, they attract viewers with fear mongering.

Yeah that basically sums up what I was thinking while watching the interview, although posting at nearly 3AM doesn't help with coherent posts

That very true. When Glenn Beck was on HNL (head line News, the secondary channel of CNN) he was a lot more moderate. (his show was more standable than Lou Dobbs show back then)

Ah Bill O'Reilly would just embarass himself if he wasn't broadcasting in a country other than America.
They seem to take the reactionary right's garbage that is called 'news' like a sugar coated pill, which more than often turns out to be a cyanide capsule.

That's kind of an improvement, but Lou Dobbs isn't very standable.
I've been noticing the debates between stalinists and non-stalinists has been getting more into chit-chat, chit chat shouldn't be a place for stalin debates.
