With a new moderator, I thought it would be worth another thread for the newest incarnation of everyone's favourite: artist focus.

So, get nominating!

6/11/09 - The next Artist Focus will be appearing in approximately 3 weeks from now, so let everyone know who you would like to be featured!

What is Artist Focus

We nominate bands to be "Focused" on; this entails that a thread is made containing some biographical information and multiple you tube videos of their songs. It kind of died down when LZ stepped down as Music mod. Which is why we must all nominate because I've found some awesome music through artist focus.

I'll certainly be continuing artist focus as its been one of the best aspects of the Music forum, and i'm keen to keep doing it

Darko Rundek is a Croatian rock singer, songwriter, poet, and actor. His music career started in the early '80s, as the frontman of the world music influenced rock band Haustor. Living in France since 1991, he recorded three albums with various musicians from different parts of the world: U širokom svijetu, Apokalipso and Ruke. The last was a concept album about a group of musicians traveling on a cargo ship.
The project initially stemmed from Darko Rundek's songs which are intrinsically poetic and rich in images. They also incorporate a musical tradition with a potential for accepting diverse influences, firstly Balkan music, Central European music and Mediterranean, then reggae, Latin American, eastern and African music.

Black Market Militia, the Avalanches,Darko Rundek and Cargo Orchestra,Dafnis Prieto, the mountain goats.
These are the nominations, lets vote upon them (no more nominations, that is) for one week.
If nobody cares or we have a tie, i will simply choose one.

Also if nobody cares, say so and we can have a poll about keeping/dropping the whole artist focus thing, and propose other stuff to establish in the music forum.

PS will this forum ever be moderated again? Or will the elected mods constantly be those who have shown to be rife with inactivity?
