As the Czech president, Vaclav Klaus, has signed the Lisbon Treaty it has now officially been ratified by all European Union states. The only stage left now is for the Czech Republic to send off the documents verifying ratification, which is to be done by the 13th of November 2009, and should become law in the near future - by either December 2009 or January 2010.

Of course I oppose the Lisbon Treaty, but I don't think this is the end of the world either. They won the battle, but not the war :)

I am not clear what the lisbon treaty is, i would apreciate if someone could explain it in a clear and uncomplicated way.
