12.04pm:
This would be the biggest opposition demonstration since the rallies in June (http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/2009/11/2009114692121423.html) if the reports of the unrest are correct, the broadcaster al Jazeera claimed.

10.54am:
Criticising the supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei used to be taboo. Now protesters are accusing him of being a "murderer". In this video they also shout "his leadership is over". (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arqezHp8wDg) It was apparently taken today in Keshavarz, central Tehran.

9.23am:
Today anti-regime protests are not confined to Tehran. There have been reports of thousands gathering in the southern city of Shiraz and Isfahan in central Iran, and in this video shows a small opposition rally in the northern city of Rasht (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EHLk8DT61o).Live blogging; http://riseoftheiranianpeople.com/2009/11/04/were-live-blogging-from-tehran-streets/ AND http://shooresh1917.blogspot.com/2009/11/were-live-blogging-from-tehran-streets.html
