This is mentioned in the anti-fascism forum but I think there is some use in it being here too.

All of the following are first hand accounts of involvement in British militant anti-fascism, great reads, entertaining and informative:

No Retreat (http://www.amazon.co.uk/No-Retreat-Dave-Hann/dp/1903854229/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257187667&sr=8-1) - Book on AFA during the 80s and 90s, beginning with the inspiration for its formation in 1979. Brilliant.

Anti-fascist (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anti-fascist-Martin-Lux/dp/094898435X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257187766&sr=1-1) - Great author, again, entertaining no nonsense account of militant anti-fascism, from an anarchist perspective this time.

The 43 Group (http://www.amazon.co.uk/43-Group-Untold-Against-Fascism/dp/0903738759/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257187784&sr=1-1)- Similar vein as the other two, but from a different era.

You can get these from Amazon or Freedom Books.
