Were the Russian Socialist Revolutionaries (SRs) Marxist? If not, then how did the Bolsheviks accept to unite with their left wing?

They were Social Democrats. When the revolution happened they denounced it. I think there was a time when the Bolsheviks united with them but by the time of the revolution I do not think they were affiliated.

As far as I know, they were with the Bolsheviks during the revolution. Later they tried to sabotage the revolution and the Bolsheviks broke with them.

They had their roots in the narodnik movement that was big with peasants in the latter part of the 19th century. They weren't marxists, but they did aim to a socialist economy, or at least they claimed.

Bolsheviks formed a government with their left wing after it split from the main party. The left SRs supported abolishing the parliament and transfering power to the soviets and also gave bolsheviks support among the peasants they didn't have.

The main political difference between the two was that the SRs wanted socialization of the land, whereas communists argued for nationalizing it. They stopped supporting the government after they disagreed with the Brest-Litovsk treaty.
