Hello! I'm a high school student from West Virginia (I hope that isn't too personal).
If there is any place in America to see the courage and determination the common worker must find within him/herself everyday in order to face the exploitation, the danger, the injustice - it is here in the land of coal mines and chemical plants. Unfortunately, the leftist movement here is weak compared to its potential. Such is being a Southern, conservative state.
About me, I am a Communist. I don't follow any certain rigid school, but Trotskyism does appeal to me the most. I became a Communist as I started researching politics more in depth. Naturally, with my surroundings and also some more personal stories that influenced my politics, I became a Communist.
Anyhow, hello! It's nice to finally find a left-wing community, very refreshing.
