I was horrified to encounter this website dedicated to the legacy of the pro-fascist radio evangelist Father Coughlin. It is not blatantly Nazi-Christian Identity or even fascist. In fact, it takes a sort of apologetic approach and subtly denounces fascism (and the KKK go figure) but it emphasizes that Coughlin was preaching "the truth" and that his legacy deserves praise in America.

Its important to keep up on fascism so you know where and when to fight it...especially when it enters the mainstream like this.

Ummm... Thats the same priest who supported FDR right?

Coughlin fought against the KKK from a Catholic standpoint, even though they were both anti-semitic.

In my view he wasn't fascist, more proto-fascist. a right populist who liked stirring up hate to help increase his own personal power, sort of like a Glenn Beck figure.

"When we get through with the Jews in America, they’ll think the treatment they received in Germany was nothing." -Father Coughlin

Then explain this. He supported FDR's reforms but only to a populist extent. By the mid 1930's he despised FDR and painted him as a communist. He openly supported Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany and wanted a style of governing in America based off of their policies, social, religious, racial and economic.
