As a near-lifelong fan of video games, I was saddened to find no video games forum in the Cultural section. Thus I thought I'd at least start a thread in relation to this topic. I'd like to raise two questions:

1) What are your thoughts on the whole 'video games as art' debate?

AND

2) Do you have any video games you'd like to review on more than a technical level?

1) Art is art if the creator says it is. If it's good art is up to the spectator.

2) Sure, not reviews from a political viewpoint, it quickly leads to overanalysing.
But more about how the characters and storyline are.

'video games as art' debate?
I don't play games so much, but I was thinking about process of creating games, and how would look creating of revolutionary game. if there is any such leftist game, I would like to know.
I would like to play multiplayer-internet, 3D, social game, where we should participate in historian rebellions and revolutions. of course, the main persons should look like in reality. it would start from Spartacus and finish with newest revolutions. but I don't believe that such game is created till now.
