ARGH. I'm still angry about it, and I'm a fan of both guys. I had predicted Machida winning by decision, but it's clear that Shogun deserved the win. It was a close fight but it's clear who won. Lyoto's face got busted up. His ribs were destroyed. He couldn't spring because his legs got eaten up. He didn't control the pace or the distance.

Shogun is the best 205lb fighter in the world now, Machida is just a paper champ. For Shogun to break his arm, blow his knee out twice, get two surgeries, and come back and make it back to the top, beat a man who he was a 4:1 underdog against, and not get the belt on what should have been the best day of his life, is absurd.

Fuck Cecil Peoples and all the other dumb ass judges. The real champ is Shogun.

Machida ain't nuffin but a pretty boy. I was really hoping this "MY GOD MACHIDA... MAGNIFICIENT JFJFJFJFJF" fanboy wagon would get smashed by Shogun, I nearly came in my pants when the 5th round ended because I was so sure Shogun would win. Still, IN MY HEART I know Shogun da champ.

How about the Kongo vs Mir match in December? I'm rooting for Kongo.
