Are there any good punk bands who are not Anarchists?

The Clash, The Ramones, The Heartbreakers, Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, New York Dolls, Wayne County, (early) Black Flag, The Germs, Fear, The Screamers, The Stranglers, Bad Brains, Television, Richard Hell & The Voidoids, Public Image Ltd., Wire, The Jam, The Dictators, Patti Smith, The Dead Boys.... basically most of the original wave of punk bands.

Also check out the protopunk bands, especially the garagerock bands from the 60s (get the compilation album Nuggets, atleast the first 2 volumes).

Are there any genuinely good anarcho-punk bands besides the Dead Kennedys?

Good list. Also (including other subgenres of punk): The Damned, Cro-Mags, Turbonegro, The Misfits, Comeback Kid, (earlier) AFI, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, DOA, Suicidal Tendencies

Propagandhi, and if you count crust-punk then Nausea, Amebix, Antisect, Behind Enemy Lines, Aus-Rotten, Nuclear Death Terror, After the Bombs... but I'm sure you've heard of these bands and therefore you just don't like them :p

Gang of Four, The Fall, Talking Heads

Although these bands are post-punk. The best punk.

Along with Devo, The Pop Group, The Slits, Scritti Politti, Joy Division, Bauhaus, James Chance, Suicide, Lydia Lunch, DNA, Clock DVA, Throbbing Gristle, The Flying Lizards, Gary Numan, Pere Ubu and as I mentioned in my earlier post Public Image Ltd. and Wire.

Check out the whole no wave scene, beginning with the albums Buy and Off White by James Chance (or James White & The Blacks in the case of Off White, it's the same guys) and ofcourse the various artist compilation No New York.
