I have a movie for all of you to watch, it shows the inherant flaws of the U.S. Monetary system and why it is doomed to fail. it is called "Zeitgeist" sadly you must google it in order to find it, but nonetheless its a great learning tool

Most of us know about it. It's decent, but ultimately too utopian and grounded in conspiracy theories about the Federal Reserve and such.
I think I'd rather point people towards Capitalism: A Love Story than Zeitgeist, but that's just me.

Capitalism: A love story is probably better then Zeitgeist...and I haven't even seen Capitalism: A Love Story yet (but knowing the style Micheal Moore uses I would suggest it. It's the kind of style/way that would convince my father...and he isn't exactly a radical leftist just some normal white collar job guy)
I've seen, perhaps not all though, Zeitgeist and I don't think it's so great. The 2nd part is a little bit more interesting especially when they talk about their little technocratic project.

First one was a load of 'bullocks', as the British say. (Or I think they do...)

I like this article about the subject: http://anarchistnews.org/?q=node/9161
Talks about the movement as a whole and not just the movie.

zeitgeist is way too full of conspiracy theory nutjobs, best left to their own devices.

Silly Conspiracy theory film, too much New World Order bollocks not enough real working class politics.

The Zeitgeist movie has a little bit of good information, but is loaded with conspiracy crap(especially the part about religion). My friend tried to use some info from the movie in an argument with some conservative christian and got taught a lesson for citing internet documentaries.

That documentary is the last thing I'd show to someone trying to become properly oriented to take on the dictatorship of the capitalist ruling class. They demonstrate that they have no understanding of the real nature of the capitalist system, ergo of course then they have no understanding of how to eliminate it. They're just another in a long line of people who think that capitalism can be eliminated by simply talking the ruling class out of their elevated status. When I questioned some of the followers they really do believe that the rich fucks are going to be won over to their movement allowing them to bring about their science-fiction world.
