Hey all. Are there any lefties in the durham area. I'm here as a first year history student and feeling seriously outnumbered. everyone at my college seems to be right wing; there's even a boer and some fascists. someone tell me I'm not the only leftie here or I think I'm going to have to escape to Newcastle soon just to get away from it all!

I'd be very surprised if there were no leftist organisations in the North East. You just picked a uni famed for stuck-up Harrow-educated Oxbridge rejects

ha ye tell me about it. The professors seem pretty open to marxism, and I'm on the hill (most the rich sods go for the bailey colleges) but its just really annoying. I want to escape to newcastle some weekends but I don't know where to begin joining an organisation or even finding one. I've stuck mostly to theory so far.
