As the title suggests, I'm from Zagreb Croatia, hey y'all :)
I'm a student of English and comparative literature. As a student, I'm trying to be involved in student politics, which has recently taken an interesting turn, away from classic representational form to a directly democratic one, realized in the occupation of severeal faculties as a means of fighting for the right for completely free public education (the fees are high, and other systemic injustices prevent many people of lower income background to participate in higher education) and against the commercialization (or neoliberalization) of education and the entire public sphere in general.

I tend to conceive myself as a freethinker with a strong leftist tendency. I don't subscribe to any rigid set of ideological premises nor am I a member of any political party. I guess one could conclude that I am very close to anarchist principles, as well as libertarian marxist politics.
All in all, I think that the existing social, economic and political order should undergo a radically transformational process which would ensure broader and broader political and participation of what Antonio Negri called "the multitude", as well as a just (re)distribution of means of production and, accordingly, wealth. In opinion (and practice, although I must admit that I lack a serious foregrounding and practical orientation) I oppose neoliberalism and representative democracy, valuing above all else freedom - the right of selfdetermination, selfgovernment and cooperation between free individuals.
