How could the revolutionary left get a news station running alongside the likes of evil fox news, cnn, BBC.
If we dont surely we will never be able to show our view to the people on a scale like capitalist regimes can.

Using organized events and groups that facilitate education and promotion of our ideals in the larger society will help compete with the mainstream source of ideology and information and legitimize the struggle of the working class as a political route to progress. It would help if there were more coordination and unity among such organizations for a larger effect. Michael Moore is also aiding the process as a mainstream figure providing an alternative solution to the structural problems of capitalism.

PS:
I've noticed that your threads are short, simple, and important but basic questions that have been covered in other threads. Try searching for answers there before you post, because I've also noticed the lack of enthusiastic response; don't be discouraged, just poke around a bit more before bringing an old and obvious topic to the table.

Why "alongside"? This is assuming that media organizations run as corporate dictatorships is something to be tolerated.

One possible way to build a campaign for media democracy might work something like this:

1. Take some event in which you feel the local media is only reporting the views of the ruling class (maybe when a strike happens, maybe when there's a protest, maybe there's some event the media totally omits). Organize a largish group of activists to simply walk into your local news room, bring a list of the points you want to make, then stand in front of the camera while they are trying to film and make your points - keep doing it until the points you are making are getting fair play in the local media.

2. Repeat step 1 until it's fairly common. Then move on to a schedule in which activists are regularly assuming democratic control of your local media outlet for maybe 1 day a week, 1 week a month, etc.

3. As step 2 becomes fairly common, move on to advocate full employee democracy and community democracy for the policies and governance of your local media.
